Another way to avoid spending too much money is to invite only a few of your kid’s friends – 4 or 5 people – either treat them at home, or take them out for pizza. A min-party (or a play-date, if your child is young) is a really great idea.
A sensible way to make sure your kid’s birthday party stays within budget is to make the decorations yourself – cut construction paper into unique shapes, play around with streamers and glitter, add lots of balloons, put up some crepe paper, and voila, you have really great decorations!
