Former Representative Erupts after Thomas Massie Loses Kentucky Primary: “Future of Republic Party destroyed”

Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene criticized the defeat of her former colleague, Representative Thomas Massie, in the Republican primary on Tuesday. Massie, who represented Kentucky, lost to Ed Gallrein, a candidate supported by former President Donald Trump. Greene highlighted Massie’s efforts to release Justice Department files related to Jeffrey Epstein as a pivotal moment in his political career.

Greene described Massie as a strong and principled figure within the GOP, writing on X that the release of the Epstein files represented a broader struggle against entrenched political influence. She argued that Massie and other members of the party have faced resistance from what she described as elite interests controlling political outcomes, a theme she has emphasized throughout her public statements.

The former Georgia lawmaker linked Massie’s loss to the shifting dynamics within the Republican Party. Greene suggested that younger conservatives will continue to shape the party’s future, framing the election results as a challenge to traditional leadership. She called for continued advocacy for the “America First” movement and engagement from new generations of voters.

Greene, who resigned her seat earlier this year, was once closely allied with Trump and considered one of the most outspoken members of the House Republican Conference. Over time, she became increasingly critical of Trump’s administration, particularly after military actions in Iran and policy decisions she opposed. These tensions influenced her public statements and political positioning ahead of her resignation.

Supporters of President Trump have characterized Greene’s criticism as motivated by political considerations, including Trump’s decision not to back her potential Senate campaign. Greene, however, has denied that her statements were personally motivated, emphasizing instead her broader concerns about party leadership and policy direction.
