Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it targeted key U.S. military installations, including Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, calling the operation a direct response to recent American military action.

U.S. Air Defenses Respond

Officials in Kuwait said air defense systems were immediately activated to intercept incoming threats, telling residents that explosions heard across parts of the country were the result of interception efforts rather than direct impacts.

In neighboring Bahrain, air raid sirens sounded as authorities urged residents to remain calm and seek shelter while security forces monitored the developing situation.

Initial reports from U.S. officials indicated there were no American casualties and no significant damage to U.S. military facilities following the attack. Officials cautioned that assessments were still underway.

Iran Escalates Its Warnings

Following the strikes, Iranian officials issued a defiant statement, warning that any future military action by the United States would receive what they described as a “crushing response.”

The latest exchange marks another dangerous step in the growing confrontation between Washington and Tehran, raising concerns that further retaliation could destabilize the region.

President Trump Issues Stark Warning

President Donald Trump responded with a forceful message on Truth Social, warning Iran against continuing attacks on American personnel or interests.

Trump said the United States has exercised restraint but emphasized that continued aggression could trigger a much stronger military response.

“There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist,” Trump wrote.

Middle East Tensions Continue to Rise

The latest exchange comes as diplomatic efforts remain fragile and both sides continue trading military strikes and increasingly sharp rhetoric.

Security analysts warn that additional attacks targeting U.S. forces, shipping lanes, or regional allies could further escalate the conflict and threaten stability throughout the Persian Gulf.

For now, U.S. military officials remain on high alert as they monitor Iran’s next moves and evaluate potential response options if American forces come under renewed attack.
