Trump delivered a firm message during a NATO summit event in Turkey, making it clear he has lost patience with the Iranian regime.
“To me, I think it’s over. I don’t want to deal with them anymore,” Trump stated bluntly.
He described Iran’s leadership as dangerous and untrustworthy following attacks on commercial shipping in the critical Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Central Command confirmed American forces carried out strikes on more than 80 Iranian targets in response to attacks on three oil tankers.
The targeted vessels included the Marshall Islands-flagged M/T Al Rekayyat, the Saudi-flagged M/T Wedyan, and the Liberian-flagged M/T Cyprus Prosperity.
Iran responded by launching strikes toward Bahrain and Kuwait, escalating tensions in the region.
President Trump doubled down, warning that additional strikes could come soon and that he was considering reinstating a blockade on Iran.
Despite the tough talk, Trump noted his negotiators were still exploring whether any peaceful resolution remained possible.
Oil markets reacted sharply, with Brent crude climbing to $78.39 per barrel — its highest level since mid-June.
U.S. stock futures also dipped in early trading as uncertainty grew.
Conservatives have long argued that weakness toward Iran only invites more aggression. Trump’s decisive response reflects a return to strength and peace through strength.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stood beside Trump and called the U.S. strikes “absolutely necessary.”
Rutte also highlighted strong European support for the operation, noting thousands of flights from European bases aided U.S. efforts.
The Strait of Hormuz remains vital — roughly one-fifth of global oil and gas passes through it. Any disruption there affects energy prices worldwide.
President Trump is showing strong leadership at a dangerous moment. By refusing to tolerate Iranian aggression against commercial shipping, he is protecting American interests and global energy security.
His willingness to take decisive action sends a clear message: America will not allow rogue regimes to threaten the world economy or endanger innocent lives.
Trump’s America First approach continues to prove effective. When America leads with strength and clarity, allies step up and adversaries think twice.
In a world full of uncertainty, strong conservative leadership from President Trump offers the best path forward for stability and prosperity.
