BREAKING : Iran Violated Ceasefire, Launched Missiles At U.S. Assets

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that American forces responded to Iranian drone activity near the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday night. According to reports citing Pentagon sources, Iranian forces launched four one-way attack drones toward a U.S. commercial vessel operating in the region. U.S. military personnel intercepted and destroyed all four drones before they reached their target.

Following the interceptions, U.S. forces carried out a strike on an Iranian ground control site in Bandar Abbas, a major port city along Iran’s southern coast. Officials said the location was being used to prepare a fifth drone launch at the time of the operation. Early reports did not provide details about the drone models or payloads involved in the incident.

Military officials described the American response as defensive in nature and confirmed that no U.S. personnel were injured during the exchange. There were also no reports of damage to American ships operating in the area. The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical global shipping route and has seen heightened tensions since conflict in the region escalated earlier this year.

On Thursday morning, CENTCOM released an additional statement confirming that all four drones had been successfully intercepted. The statement also revealed that Iran launched at least one ballistic missile toward a U.S. installation in Kuwait, though Kuwaiti defense forces reportedly intercepted the missile before impact.

CENTCOM described the actions as a violation of the current ceasefire agreement that has been in place since April 8. Officials stated that U.S. forces and regional allies remain alert as they continue monitoring threats in the region. The military also confirmed that a sixth drone launch was prevented during operations targeting the Bandar Abbas control site.

Despite the latest escalation, diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran reportedly remain ongoing. President Donald Trump has previously stated that future stability in the region depends on Iran addressing concerns related to its nuclear program and ensuring safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Analysts continue to watch closely as both military and diplomatic developments unfold.
