President Donald Trump signaled Wednesday that the United States is prepared to take additional action against key Iranian infrastructure after accusing Tehran of delaying negotiations that could have delivered a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.

Speaking with Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst, Trump said his administration is considering further military options as Iran continues to resist efforts to finalize a long-term agreement addressing regional security concerns and nuclear issues.
“We’re getting close to making some very important decisions,” Trump reportedly said, emphasizing that Iran has repeatedly failed to take advantage of opportunities for a diplomatic solution.
The president’s comments came shortly after he issued a strong message on Truth Social, criticizing Iranian leaders for what he described as prolonged delays in negotiations.
“They’ve taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them,” Trump wrote. “Now they will have to pay the price.”
Trump also argued that years of pressure from the United States and its allies have significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities.

According to reports, tensions escalated after a U.S. Apache helicopter was brought down near the Strait of Hormuz earlier this week. Trump praised the skill and courage of the American pilots involved, describing their survival as nothing short of remarkable.
The president reportedly shared details of the incident, explaining that despite suffering damage during the attack, the crew successfully executed an emergency landing and were later rescued in a highly coordinated operation involving advanced U.S. military assets.
Following the incident, U.S. forces carried out defensive strikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure, including radar installations, air defense systems, and runway facilities that officials say were being restored after previous operations.
Administration officials maintain that the actions were necessary to protect American personnel and preserve regional stability.
Despite the latest escalation, Trump continues to express confidence that a broader agreement remains achievable.
Earlier this week, the president suggested negotiations were nearing completion and indicated that a framework addressing Iran’s nuclear activities, regional security concerns, and freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz could still be reached.
“We’re getting what we need to get,” Trump recently said regarding the ongoing talks.
Meanwhile, Iranian officials have urged neighboring countries in the Gulf region to oppose military operations conducted by the United States and Israel, warning that continued support for those efforts could further increase tensions.
The developments underscore the delicate balance between diplomacy and deterrence as the Trump administration seeks to secure long-term stability in the Middle East while maintaining pressure on Tehran to reach a comprehensive agreement.
Supporters of the president argue that Trump’s strategy of combining strong national defense with direct diplomacy has strengthened America’s position and increased leverage at the negotiating table.
With negotiations continuing and regional tensions remaining high, the coming days could prove critical in determining whether diplomacy prevails or whether additional measures become necessary.
