
Evacuations Ordered as Spring Valley Fire Grows Near Flagstaff
Residents and visitors in parts of northern Arizona have been ordered to evacuate after a rapidly developing wildfire broke out northwest of Flagstaff on Saturday.

According to Coconino County Emergency Management, the fire began around 2:30 p.m. near the Parks-Pumpkin Center area off Spring Valley Road. The wildfire, now known as the Spring Valley Fire, prompted officials to issue an immediate “GO” evacuation order for everyone in and around Kendrick Mountain.
Emergency officials urged residents and visitors to leave the area immediately as firefighters work to contain the blaze.
The Spring Valley Fire has grown to an estimated 112 acres and is burning on private land, according to the Kaibab National Forest. Forest personnel are assisting local agencies with the wildfire response.
Authorities continue to monitor fire conditions and are asking the public to avoid the affected area while emergency crews respond. Additional evacuation updates and containment information will be released as they become available.
